Accilently

Being off work all week, my plan was to sleep from 10PM to 9AM every day. It hasn't quite worked out, but Claire knows the plan and is trying to help make that happen. She's staying in bed until around 7:45 when she can't stand it anymore - and that's when her "Sorry to bother you..." questions start up.

This morning went like this:

7:45 - "I think I heard Chloe crying." (she wasn't)
7:46 - "Can I shut Granby and Poppy's door?" (in the guest room, sleeping)
7:47 - "Can I have some cinnamon toast crunch?"
7:49 - "I knocked some cereal on the floor. Can I eat it?"
7:51 - "Can I paint?" (with that 'magic' paint that only works on the special paper)
7:53 - "I accilently got paint on the counter."
7:54 - "I accilently got paint on my pajamas."
7:55 - Mom is up.

Somehow "accidently" has turned into "accilently" - which is understandable because I am constantly pushing a more sophisticated vocabulary into her - right now we are working on 'fashionista' having already mastered 'obnoxious.'

7:59 - Chloe is up.

Visit to the Children's Museum :)

With nothing to do all week, I took the girls to the newly opened Children's Museum down town that just open this past summer. We avoided the big crowds by getting there early and had some elbow room to check out all the exhibits (and for Chloe to take off and run away!) The museum had a ton of neat displays - all hand's on for the little ones, and I think the perfect age is probably from 4 to about 10. Claire LOVED it and was able to participate in almost everything! Chloe... well.... not so much. But there were areas she liked as well. Their favorite part was the grocery store where they could "shop" with miniature (and very realistic) shopping carts down aisles and aisles of real groceries - then take their items to the check-out where they could scan them and see the price and description pop up on a cash register screen. Chloe had a major meltdown when it was time to move on to some other areas, but I wrangled her back under control and took her to see some other fun.

It was a fun activity - indoors was needed because it was very cold and windy outside (at least for us in South Carolina!)

Chandra got this idea....

She wants to start a blog. If this is anything like facebook, this will be updated 4 to 5 times a day.
